Bone in ‘steak’ cut or fillet – very low in fat, flat fish which is great grilled or fried.

Approximate weight of a steak is 300g, or fillet is 200g

Price can range from £24 – £30 per kg – usually £26/kg for Steak Cut, or £29 – £35 per kg for fillet (usually £32/kg)

Small:  Approx 150g Fillet or 220g steak

Large:  Aprox 250g Fillet or 370g Steak



A flat fish with brown upside and white underside.

It has dense firm flesh with a flavour which is best described as clean.


Steak Cut with bone in and is generally grilled while fresh


Halibut fillet (Boneless) – Fry, Bake or grill!

Doesn’t require a great deal of seasoning and is renowned for being extremely low in fat.

Please note:  Through bone cuts rely on the correct size fish – we may supply halibut fillet in the event that the fish received isn’t suitable for a through bone cut.
